We are delighted to introduce Musical Director Artemis Reed who will be joining the team at Dramacube and working on our forthcoming production of Annie JR. Here is a little information about Artie.
Artemis started playing the piano age 13 (or so) and quickly realised he had potential. He started having lessons in jazz piano and very soon was Md’ing a number of shows in and around Norfolk including the prestigious yet not widely known Maddermarket Theatre.
Since then he has gone on to musically run various projects, from directing one of Norfolk’s finest big bands to musicals and much much more, even finding the time to run his own jazz trio.
Alongside this, Artemis has focused on honing and developing his musical composition voice. He has written music for a number of independent films and projects, as well as big band music all the way down to smaller ensemble works.
His music can also be found in jingles for adverts such as DCM’s cinema ad.
Having just graduated from King’s College London with a degree in music, he can now be found in various musical outfits around London working full time as a pianist and MD.
This particular line of work has him working with groups aged 7-16 all the way up to pensioners, with everything in between. He truly believes music has no age limit!
